No technology fee. No surge. Ever.

We add nothing to your taxi fare: no technology fee, no service charge, no surge pricing. The fare you pay is the fare the meter reads. Five things to know before you tap your first ride.

We save you money, every ride.

Every car is a licensed taxi using the regulated taxi meter, so the fare is exactly what you’d pay hailing it off the street. FairTaxi adds no technology fee and no service charge on top. Then we go one better. Before you ride, the app looks for a nearby pickup that costs less, so a short walk can knock minutes and euro off the fare.

  • No technology fee and no service charge. The platform extras other apps add, we don’t.
  • The meter is the fare. Card payments go straight to the driver.
  • Walk 120 m, save €3.40 and 4 min: the app finds a cheaper pickup when one exists.

You pick your driver. Every other app picks for you.

Book a ride and the drivers nearby offer for it. Up to three of those offers come back to you, and you choose which one turns up. Each offer carries the driver’s photo, name and star rating, the make, colour and registration of the car, and the driver’s NTA SPSV licence number, every part of it checkable against the public NTA register. You have 90 seconds to pick. Once you have, call or message them in the app about the side gate or the buzzer: the driver never sees your number, and you never see theirs.

  • Up to three drivers offer for your trip, and you choose one of them.
  • Every offer shows the photo, name, rating, car, registration and SPSV licence number.
  • Ninety seconds to decide. Other apps just assign you a driver and tell you afterwards.
  • Once you have picked, call or message your driver right in the app.
  • The driver never sees your real number, and you never see theirs.

Safe, and on your terms.

Share your trip and someone at home watches your car move on a map: driver, registration and SPSV licence in plain sight, with no app needed on their end. One tap dials 112 with your location attached. Want a woman at the wheel, need a wheelchair or a child seat? Set it, and only drivers who can meet it get the job.

  • Share your trip live so someone sees the car, plate and SPSV licence.
  • One-tap 112 with your GPS location attached.
  • Request a female driver: a real match filter, not just a preference.
  • Wheelchair, child seats, quiet ride, pets, your language: matched, not guessed.

Pay your way, or let someone else.

Cash or card to the driver in the car, or a saved card in the app. Either way the meter reads the same number and FairTaxi adds nothing to it. Or let someone else pay: add a sponsor and their card covers your trips, up to a weekly limit they set and watch count down. A parent paying for a teenager getting home, a son covering his mother’s hospital runs. They see the trips they paid for, the route, location and fare, and nothing else about your account. Linked business accounts that bill work trips to your employer are coming soon.

  • Pay in the car: cash or card to the driver, no app fee added.
  • Saved card in the app for tap-and-go.
  • Or let a sponsor pay: their card, a weekly cap they set, and they see only the trips they paid for.
  • Coming soon: a linked business account that bills work trips to your employer.

Your favourites get first call.

After a good ride, tap the heart. Book the normal way and if a favourite is on shift nearby, dispatch offers them the trip first: a fifteen-second head start before anyone else gets the ping. Or book a trip directly with your favourites: pick all of them or only the ones you want, and only those drivers get the offer. Prefer not to be matched with someone again? You can leave them off your future trips just as easily. It’s your list, both ways, and no reason is ever asked for.

  • Tap the heart on any past ride to save a driver.
  • Favourites get a 15-second head start when they’re nearby.
  • Book a trip directly with your favourites, all of them or only the ones you pick.
  • Build your own list of regular drivers you like.
  • Not the right fit? Leave a driver off your future trips, no reason needed.
